Automattic Confirms Mullenweg Remains Chairman and CEO

Automattic confirmed Saturday, Sept. 12, that "Matt Mullenweg is the chairman and CEO of Automattic with full support of the board." The statement, emailed just after 5 p.m. ET, follows a Wednesday board vote to place Mullenweg, founder of WordPress, on paid leave. Automattic is the parent company of WordPress.com.
