National promises 50 police for Auckland public transport

National says it would set up a special police team for Auckland transport if it wins the next election. The party says 50 new officers would patrol trains, buses, ferries, stations and hubs to stop bad behaviour and keep passengers and staff safe. It says $7 million a year would come from Budget 2027.
