Wildwood puppets get tiny lungs to seem to breathe

Every main Wildwood puppet has a tiny lung-like breather inside that gently moves in and out so it seems to breathe on screen, animation head Brad Schiff said at a TIFF talk on the film. Laika first tried it on 2019's Missing Link and now uses it for Wildwood, its Portland-set fantasy from the Kubo and the Two Strings team.
