AI Researchers Raise $3.7M to Help Build Fusion Energy

Two former Google DeepMind researchers, Federico Felici and Jonas Buchli, raised $3.7 million from firms Founderful and Playfair for their Lausanne startup, Fusionality, founded in 2026. They plan to build software that controls and simulates fusion reactors — machines that replicate how the sun makes energy. Felici says no existing tools are designed for this.
