Google DeepMind Alumni Raise $3.7M Pre-Seed for Fusion Reactor Control Systems

Lausanne-based Fusionality, founded in 2026 by Federico Felici and Jonas Buchli, raised a $3.7 million pre-seed round from Founderful and Playfair. The former Google DeepMind researchers plan to build control systems and simulation environments for magnetic confinement fusion reactor developers. Felici said no vendor currently provides control-system components that "speak the language of fusion."
