Mathematicians Say OpenAI Used Their Unpublished Work in AI Breakthrough Claim

Two mathematicians entered draft work on a famous unsolved math problem into an OpenAI tool. OpenAI later said it solved the problem using 10,000 AI agents. One mathematician asked whether the AI learned from his input. OpenAI said it does not look up user data but did not answer whether it trained on it. It offered him credits; he declined. The leading math institute has not confirmed the solution.
