New Schlage Smart Lock Uses Precision Radio Technology to Stop Hacking

Schlage unveiled the Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt at CES 2025, using a new type of radio signal that pinpoints your exact location with precision. This solves a decade-long security flaw: older smart locks can be fooled into unlocking by hacker tricks if you're nearby but at a distance—say, on your driveway instead of your porch. The new lock also works without Wi-Fi, using a mesh network instead.
