Mosquito That Can Spread Tropical Disease Found Breeding in London

A tropical mosquito known to spread dengue, Zika, and chikungunya — illnesses usually confined to warm climates — was found breeding at east London homes for the first time in the UK. Authorities destroyed the larvae and are watching the area closely. Risk to the public is low, with no infections. Warmer temperatures may bring more such mosquitoes.
