Many Dead After Migrant Boat Lost at Sea for Nearly a Month
A boat with 127 people left The Gambia in early August and was found floating near Spain's Canary Islands after 27 days at sea. Rescuers saved 44 people and found five dead; activist Helena Maleno Garzón said 83 died in total. Three survivors are in critical condition. This sea crossing is one of the deadliest migrant routes in the world.
