Leaders From China, Russia, India, and Iran Meet in Central Asia

On August 31, 2026, leaders of China, Russia, India, Iran, and four Central Asian nations met in Bishkek for a two-day summit. The group, called the SCO, started in 1996 to settle border disputes and now works on security and trade across Eurasia. The UN's leader and a Southeast Asian official also joined.
