PM Lets Ministers Vote Freely on Assisted Dying Bill

Prime Minister Andy Burnham lifted the rule that normally requires ministers to publicly support government policy, so they can vote however they want on Lauren Edwards' assisted dying bill. Ministers may also stay neutral or campaign for or against it before the 11 September Commons debate. The bill would let terminally ill adults request an assisted death, with doctor and panel sign-off.
