Dutch Court Gives Life Sentence for 1994 Rwanda Massacre

A court in The Hague sentenced Eugene N., 67, to life in prison for leading the killing of about 3,000 Tutsis at Mbazi stadium during Rwanda's 1994 genocide. Rwanda asked the Netherlands to hand him over in 2014, but Dutch law forbids sending its own citizens abroad for trial. Instead, the Netherlands put him on trial itself.
