UK grants major floating wind farm licence off Wales

The Crown Estate has approved a huge offshore wind farm in the Celtic Sea off Wales. The site could generate enough power for millions of homes. Unlike traditional wind turbines fixed to the seabed, these will be anchored by cables to handle deep water. The project still needs approval from the UK government and Welsh parliament, and must connect to the electricity grid before construction begins.
