Sudden Floods Kill 160 on Nepal-Tibet Border

On August 26, 2026, sudden floodwaters hit Himalayan border communities of Nepal and Tibet, killing at least 160 people. Hundreds are still missing. Villages and roads were washed away. Over 5,000 soldiers and police are searching for survivors; 125 people have been pulled to safety. The cause is still being investigated.
