Nepal disaster was a collapsing glacier, not an earthquake

At least 160 people died after a wall of rock and ice from a glacier fell into a river on the Nepal-Tibet border, the USGS determined — not an earthquake, as Nepal's government first said. Debris still blocking the river upstream could cause another flood. China has sent nearly 800 rescue workers; the Red Cross is sending body bags. Hundreds remain missing.
