UK to Use War-Trained AI to Protect Military Sites After Break-In

On 24 August 2026, the UK said it will test AI — computer systems that learn from data — trained on Ukraine's battlefield to spot intruders at military sites using sensors buried underground. This follows a June 2026 break-in at RAF Brize Norton, where activists on scooters damaged two aircraft and escaped unnoticed. Three British firms are approved.
