Apple Turns Siri Into a Smarter, Open Assistant

Apple released a rebuilt Siri on June 9, now built deeper into iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Unlike the old voice-command version, this one can see what's on your screen and understand context across apps. Apple is also letting other AI chatbots like ChatGPT work with Siri, rather than forcing you to choose one. Developers can test it now; everyone else gets access later in 2026.
