Albany Woman Charged in Plot to Bomb New York State Capitol

Jessica Bowie, 35, of Albany, was arrested August 19 after taking what she believed was a bomb. Authorities say she planned to attack the state capitol, kill officials, and escape to Syria. The bomb was fake. Governor Hochul increased capitol security, pointing to growing threats against public officials.
