Police Said Missing Girl Was Found — But She Wasn't

Police in Western Australia wrongly told the public on Monday that 10-year-old Lyndel Ningella had been found, then took it back hours later. She is still missing. Lyndel was last seen in Butler, Perth on 15 August 2026. Police think she may be 80km south in Kwinana-Wellard. The mistake could make people less watchful four days in.
