Party rule stops Goldsmith switching electorates

Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith cannot switch to the safe National seat of Kaipara ki Mahurangi because a party rule stops candidates already picked for one electorate from seeking another in the same election. Goldsmith is National's chosen candidate in Epsom. He said he "momentarily" considered switching but would stay.
