Spotify now has over 300 million paying listeners

Spotify topped 300 million paying subscribers for the first time in the second quarter of 2026, with 777 million people using the app each month. The August 17 report also introduced Playlist Notes, letting users and editors add short comments to songs in a playlist. User notes reach over 100 countries on Apple and Android phones; editor notes launch in six English-speaking markets.
