Two Trains Come Off the Tracks in Southeast England in Two Days

Eleven people were hurt — two badly — when a Southern Rail train came off its tracks in East Sussex on August 13, 2026. The next day, a Greater Anglia train derailed near Wickford, Essex. Different companies ran the trains, and no link is known yet. But two derailments in a row will push Britain's rail investigators to ask whether shared track or upkeep problems connect them.
