Inflation Report for July Won't Yet Show the Latest Oil Price Jump

The July inflation reading, out August 12, is expected to show prices up 3.4% from a year ago — down from 3.5% in June, per Reuters. But oil climbed to $83.20 a barrel on August 11 after Iran shut a key shipping lane. That jump hits later reports, due September 11 and October 14.
