France Says Companies Can't Cold-Call You Unless You Agree First

From 11 August 2026, companies in France cannot call you to sell something unless you have already agreed to be contacted. The law, passed 30 June 2025, replaces an old list where people had to sign up to block calls. Now businesses must get your permission in writing before they dial.
