Scarborough North MP Shaun Chen stepping down after car accident injuries

Liberal MP Shaun Chen will step down from his Scarborough North seat Saturday. He says injuries from a serious car accident in late 2025, while driving to Ottawa, have kept him from attending Parliament regularly. Elected in 2015, Chen previously led the Toronto District School Board. Voters in his area must choose a replacement within 180 days.
