Microsoft Edge Begins Disabling MV2 Extensions, Completing Consumer Transition by End of 2026

Microsoft Edge starts disabling Manifest V2 extensions by default for consumers in August 2026, rolling out from Canary, Dev, and Beta channels before reaching Stable. The company aims to complete the consumer transition to Manifest V3 by end of 2026.
