Airbnb: AI Writes 60% of New Code, Cuts Launch Time by 60%

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky told analysts on the Q2 2026 earnings call that AI has reduced concept-to-launch time by as much as 60% and increased shipped features nearly 80% year-over-year. Airbnb previously disclosed that AI now writes 60% of its new code. The company reported Q2 revenue of $3.6 billion, up 17% year-over-year.
