Israel Indicts Sanctioned Settler in First Such Charge Over 1,500 Palestinian Deaths This Decade

Israeli prosecutors indicted Yinon Levy with reckless manslaughter for shooting Palestinian activist Awdeh Hathaleen in the West Bank — the first indictment over any of 1,500-plus Palestinian deaths by settlers and soldiers this decade. Levy was already sanctioned by the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia. Released from house arrest last year, he continued building illegal outposts until the July killing.
