Luxon promises referendums on MMP and four-year parliamentary term if re-elected
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has promised referendums on the MMP electoral system and extending the parliamentary term from three to four years if National is re-elected on 7 November. Luxon told Newstalk ZB an MMP referendum is "something we should consider" and he wants it next year.
