First mental health strategy placed under Pae Ora Act, with 50 actions and three-year plan
Mental Health Minister Matt Doocey has released New Zealand's first Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy at Parliament, under the Pae Ora Act. Doocey called mental health's prior exclusion from the Act a "huge mistake." The strategy sets out 50 actions and a three-year implementation plan with milestones, responsibilities and reporting, covering faster access to support, more frontline workers and a better crisis response.
