Snap's Spiegel: Specs AR Glasses Won't Reach Mass Market Until End of Decade

Snap CEO Evan Spiegel told investors on Snap's August 3 Q2 2026 earnings call that mass-market consumer adoption of its $2,195 Specs AR glasses will likely not happen until closer to the end of the decade. Spiegel said weight and cost both need to come down before unit volumes meaningfully pick up. A September 2026 launch event is planned.
