Wisconsin early voters locked into ballots cast for withdrawn candidates after judge's ruling

On July 29, a Wisconsin judge rejected a Democratic-party effort to let early absentee voters void and recast their ballots. Three candidates — Barnes, Rodriguez, and Hughes — have since withdrawn from the August 11 gubernatorial primary. An unknown number of voters cast ballots for them with no recourse to change their votes.
