CodePen 2.0 Lets Users Deploy Websites Directly From the Editor

CodePen 2.0, launched July 23, 2026, adds direct website deployment from the Pen Editor. Users can now ship small sites without exporting code or arranging external hosting. The feature turns the long-running front-end playground into a lightweight deployment pipeline. Co-founder Chris Coyier called the release his largest career accomplishment, noting it required more work than building the original CodePen.
