Suffolk Wildfire Burns Three Miles From Sizewell B Nuclear Plant

A major wildfire on Dunwich Heath, declared 30 July, burned roughly three miles from the Sizewell B nuclear power station. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service stated there was no danger to the plant. EDF confirmed the blaze was not affecting operations and said it was "closely monitoring the situation." The fire's easterly trajectory was moving it away from the site.
