Christchurch Hospital plans tents for overflow despite $25m winter funding boost

Christchurch Hospital has drawn up plans to pitch tents outside for patient overflow this winter, according to RNZ. Corridor beds in ED are being angled to fit more patients. This persists despite a $25 million government funding boost in March and Health NZ projecting 103 additional winter beds by mid-July.
