Berlin Police Shoot Dead Pride Car-Ramming Suspect After 24-Hour Manhunt

German police shot and killed Abdul Ballout, a German citizen with Lebanese roots, after he attacked officers with a bladed weapon at a Spandau allotment garden complex on 26 July 2026. Ballout was the suspect in a car-ramming attack on Berlin's Christopher Street Day Pride event the previous evening, which left at least one dead and over a dozen injured. Officials say all indications point to an Islamic terror attack. The case has been taken up by the federal Public Prosecutor General's Office.
