President Trump imposed replacement tariffs of 10% and 12.5% on goods from 60 trading partners, including Canada and the European Union, succeeding prior duties set to expire, NPR and Reuters reported July 24, 2026. The White House directed the U.S. Trade Representative to implement the levies under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974.
