NTSB: Tesla Driver Disabled FSD by Floorboarding Accelerator Before Fatal 70 mph Crash
NTSB investigators confirmed that a Tesla Model 3 driver pressed the accelerator to 100 percent, disabling Full Self-Driving entirely before the vehicle struck a Texas home at over 70 mph, killing Martha Avila. Driver Michael Butler, 44, told investigators he lost consciousness after enabling FSD. No drugs or alcohol were found. NHTSA is also investigating the crash; the NTSB probe remains open.
