Ministry of Pacific Peoples defends $200,000 documentary about Fijian politician Lynda Tabuya
The Ministry of Pacific Peoples is defending $200,000 of public funding for a documentary centred on Fijian politician Lynda Tabuya, who was sacked from Fiji's Cabinet in December 2024 after a leaked nude video and reappointed as Information Minister in August 2025. Both Pacific Peoples Minister Paul Goldsmith and Foreign Minister Winston Peters declined to comment. The ministry said funding was decided independently through the Moana Reo Media Fund.
