Governing coalition down to bare 61-seat majority in latest poll
The National–NZ First–ACT coalition holds 61 of 120 seats — the narrowest possible majority — according to an RNZ-Reid Research poll of 1000 respondents conducted 2–9 July. National polled 28.7%, its lowest under leader Christopher Luxon. A single by-election loss or defection would cost the government its working majority.
