Starmer nominates 26 peers in final act as PM, including Sadiq Khan

Sir Keir Starmer nominated 26 new peers as one of his final acts before leaving office on Monday. London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan is among 16 Labour nominees. The cross-party list includes five Liberal Democrats, three Conservatives and two cross-bench members. Reform UK received no peerages. Downing Street described the appointments as "political peerages."
