Beijing-based Moonshot AI is preparing to release Kimi K3, a 2-to-3-trillion-parameter open-weight model expected in the coming days as of July 16, 2026. Sources cited by the Financial Times say it may match or surpass Anthropic's Opus 4.8. It would be China's largest AI model to date and the largest open-weight release anywhere.
