Apple Intelligence Cleared for China, Powered by Both Alibaba Qwen and Baidu

China's Cyberspace Administration has approved Apple Intelligence for launch, roughly two years after its 2024 debut elsewhere. Apple will integrate models from both Alibaba (Qwen) and Baidu across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS. Baidu was Apple's initial sole partner in 2024; its development work fell short, prompting Apple to add Alibaba.
