Nilekani Steps Back as GP at Fundamentum as Third Fund Launches

Nandan Nilekani has relinquished his general partner title at Fundamentum Partnership, the Indian-focused venture firm he co-founded in 2017, moving to anchor investor status as the firm raises its third $200 million fund. Nilekani retains his largest-ever commitment to the firm and will continue mentoring portfolio companies. Four embedded partners—Sanjeev Aggarwal, Prateek Jain, Mayank Kachhwaha, and Sanjay Chaturvedi—now lead the fund, which targets eight to ten Series B startups in consumer tech, fintech, and AI.
