Arizona toddler pronounced dead revived hours later in hospital morgue
An 18-month-old pulled from a Gilbert, Arizona pool on February 8 was declared dead by emergency physician Dr. Aryan Toosi at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Five hours later, a transporter from the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office found the child breathing in the hospital's morgue refrigeration unit. He was flown to another hospital, recovered, and has been released. Police bodycam footage shows officers told Dr. Toosi they observed signs of life; he responded, "let me do my thing." The Maricopa County Attorney has not yet decided whether to file charges.
