Warp Sciences Trains Lab Robots by Recording Human Chemists' Bench Work

Warp Sciences, an AI startup launched by former OpenAI science lead Kevin Weil, is training robots to carry out wet-lab drug discovery tasks. Human chemists wear cameras and sensor gloves during bench work, and the recorded motion and sensor data teach the robots instead of hand-written control code, TechCrunch reported on October 22, 2026.
