Alliance Backs Proposed 20% Federal Tax Credit for US Film and TV Production

A proposed federal tax credit would give 20% for domestic film and TV production, plus a 5% bonus for independent productions. The American Entertainment Alliance, which includes CAA, WME and UTA, said on 22 October it is in "strong support". Under current bill language, independent means any company not publicly traded. The bill is still a proposal.
