Boston Trial Opens for Ohio Man Accused of Hiding Rwanda Genocide Role

A Boston federal court has begun hearing the case against Rwandan-American Eric Tabaro Nshimiye, 55, of Uniontown, Ohio. Prosecutors allege the U.S. citizen, arrested in 2024, concealed his participation in the 1994 Rwanda genocide. He faces perjury and obstruction charges over alleged lies to investigators and in 2019 testimony.
