Guilfoyle steps down as U.S. ambassador to Greece after White House request

Kimberly Guilfoyle is stepping down as U.S. ambassador to Greece after the White House asked her to resign on Oct. 13. Press secretary Katie Zacharia said "We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign." Guilfoyle called the post the "honor of a lifetime" and denied "false" allegations. Her exit follows misconduct claims she disputes, leaving Athens without a Senate-confirmed envoy.
