Ian McKellen to Headline An Ark in Manchester as Virtual Presence Only

Ian McKellen will headline the UK premiere of An Ark in Manchester, appearing only as a virtual presence with no live stage performance. The 47-minute mixed-reality play runs 27 March to 10 April at Aviva Studios. Audiences wear smart glasses projecting actors into the room. Whether headset theatre convinces regular theatregoers remains open.
